revival with 168 baptized in water in the name
of Jesus

R. Gordon Jackson becomes the pastor after Bro. Gurley leaves
to serve as District
Superintendent.
1948…………………. Brother
Gurley returns to serve as pastor
1951…………………. The
original church building located on Tate Street is
destroyed by fire.
1953…………………. New
church building at Cruise & Proper Streets is completed
1972…………………. Brother
Gurley retires and M.D. Padfield, Jr. is named
pastor

Harold Jaco is named pastor

Gurley goes to meet the Lord
