The D.O.G. House (D.O.G. means Disciples of God) is about the “fun-est” place you will ever find to learn about Jesus!! Bro. Donnie Waldrop, the Children’s Minister, and his dedicated and motivated staff are constantly doing, viewing, brewing, and renewing things to do to make the Word of God real and memorable to the kids who come to the First Church.
They have puppets, a life-size hound dog named Rovercomer, and a life-size Royal Canadian Mountie Moose named Monte, and many, many other means to bring out the Word the way kids can understand and learn it. They have fun while they are singing songs, listening to sermonettes, watching puppets, and just doing everything that comes their way. Every child between age 5 and grade 4 has the opportunity, and is urged to participate in the D.O.G. House Children’s Ministry.
The D.O.G. House is in session on Sunday morning after Sunday School is over, and again on Wednesday night during the regular adult Bible Study. |
